Week #7 Time, or a perceived lack of time, is one of the most commonly named sources of stress. What are your strengths as a time manager?  What are your greatest weaknesses? Discuss one thing in your life you wish to prioritize and create more time for.

For this assignment, you will have a chance to put into practice all you have been learning throughout this course. You will analyze the personality development of one of the theorists studied in this course from three different theoretical perspectives.

Choose one of the theorists you have studied this term. Use your textbook, the Internet, and the Argosy University online library resources to research the life history of the theorist.

1. Describe the major life events of the theorist that you feel influenced his or her personality development.

Due Week 10 and worth 200 points Tony’s Chips has recently been sold to a new independent company. The new company has hired you to manage a project that will move the old Website from an externally hosted solution to an internal one. The company’s leadership is very concerned about redundancy for their site, insisting that a back-up site be available as a failover in case the main site goes down. In addition, they want the site redesigned to allow customers to order products online.

As part of your job, you must complete a 10-to-15 page paper that follows this project through the system development life cycle (SDLC). This assignment will require you to do the following:

• Discuss what it will take to build a Web architecture, move an existing Website with minimal downtime, and provide a disaster recovery solution to ensure the site is always available.

• • The Web architecture should describe and justify operating system choices (i.e., Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP, Windows, IIS, SQL, etc.).
• Evaluate alternatives to the company self-hosting the site.
• Build a Gantt chart using Microsoft Project or equivalent software, showing all tasks associated with implementing the Website.
• The chart should include a minimum of five (5) tasks, each with three (3) sub-tasks.
• Explain and justify the system architecture you have selected.
• Illustrate the system architecture using Visio or equivalent software.
• Create a use case that documents the event of a customer ordering a bag of chips from the new Website.
• The use case should include a graphical representation using Visio or equivalent software and a text description of the events.
• Discuss the support operations that the internally hosted Website will require after implementation.
• Explain how you will evaluate the performance of the new site and the success of your project.

The specific Course Learning Outcomes associated with this assignment are:

• Design high-level logical system characteristics (user interface design, design of data, and information requirements).
• Use contemporary CASE tools in process and data modeling.

California maintains a website http://www.leginfo.ca.gov that follows proposed bills throughout the legislative process. Identify one key piece of legislation that is currently making its way through a state legislative process in California, but that has not yet passed or has been recently signed & enacted last session (2015).

 

You should select a bill that has been proposed in response to a perceived public health problem and write an 6-8 (max-body) page paper (1″ borders, 12 pt font), which includes the following:

 

1. Overview of the health problem: An overview of the public health problem to be addressed. Discuss the severity of the problem and number of people affected by it and by the proposed bill.
2. Severity of the health problem: Discuss the research (citations) behind the health problem. Is there consensus among researchers regarding its severity and how to best deal with it? What would realistically happen if no intervention was implemented? Please make sure to cite all references to the literature to support your statistics and data.
3. Overview of the bill and Stakeholders: An overview of the proposed bill in terms of its specific provisions. Do not just discuss what the promoters promise that it will accomplish. Make sure to read the fine print and see exactly what the bill will do. Describe who the stakeholders are that are affected in any way by this bill.
4. Promises/Expected Outcomes: Who are the promoters of the bill. Describe what the promoters of the bill believe that the bill will accomplish. Make sure to discuss what specific health outcomes that the promoters say will occur if the bill is passed.
5. Problems: Describe what individuals or groups are opposed to the bill and why they are opposed. Make sure to research special interest groups such as professional trade associations, industry groups, etc. to see what type of lobbying efforts they are making with respect to the bill.
6. Unintended Consequences: Describe what unintended consequence that could arise resulting from passage of this bill. In this section you should discuss unanticipated things that could go wrong if the bill was passed.
7. Summary-Recommendation: What is your perceptive and recommendation regarding this bill (based on text-reference-and lectures). Make sure to back up your opinion with the facts and with support from the class readings.
