As a business professional, assume you have been invited as a guest speaker for the next managerial meeting for your organization. Senior leadership has expressed concerns about corporate social responsibility and how this may influence appropriate business practices.

After reading and viewing this week’s required resources, select three external resources of your choice (not Wikipedia). Then, develop a PowerPoint presentation for senior leadership that addresses the following:

  • Provide examples of two corporations or companies that are making a positive social impact. Identify the corporation or business, the product(s) or service(s), the recipients, and the benefits.

Length:  8-10 slides, not including the title slide and the references slide.

Listed below are some tips for your slide presentation.

  1. Begin your presentation with a title slide that includes your name. Use plenty of white space on the slides.
  2. Provide a few appropriate graphics to break up the text.
  3. Use six bullets per slide or less.
  4. Use Times New Roman, 28 or 32-point font.

Essay should reflect upon each of the themes in the chapters in Coynes’ book.  Your essay should include reflections on your growing understandings of Evolution.  Your essay should be a record of your personal journey through the discovery of the concepts used to describe the theory of evolution.  Here you can include your reflections on philosophical, theological, and sociological points that reflect your views on evolution.  Additionally, you should critique and evaluate the ideas presented in the book in a way that demonstrates a scientific understanding of  evolution. Also, watch the NOVA video (found on YouTube) “Judgment Day: Intelligent Design On Trial (creationism vs evolution)” and relate it to your views on evolution or relate it to what the book says in regards to evolution.

Compare and contrast 2 energy drinks of your choice in terms of what they are advertised to do for the body and any possible side effects.

The life of a college student is extremely stressful with multiple projects due each week. You notice that your best friend always seems to be on top of her game. You ask her what her secret is, and she says that she drinks two energy drinks every day. Before you examine the energy drinks, you must first review some energy basics by documenting the following: Define ATP. Describe how and where energy (ATP) is generated. How is cellular energy used? Part IV:  Self-Reflection Summary

Self-reflection is the key to good leadership and good management. Reflect on what you have learned in this class and on what you gained from your Bachelor of Science program. Based on your reflections, discuss the following:

A world view is a fundamental or basic orientation of thinking – like a mindset – which guides a culture and / or a person’s life. Like a point of view, it can be built of concepts, ideas, values, emotions, and ethics. Weltanschauung is the German word for this idea. Your goal for this course is to understand the world views of these various religions. In order to prepare you for your final assignment, you will outline the world views of various religions in the chart below, adding to it each week.

For this assignment, students will complete the weekly area of the chart, filling in the aspects of each religion as it is presented in the readings and resources. This chart, when complete, will be the starting point for the written assignment, due in Week 10.

For each weekly submission:

  1. Review the weekly lectures and supplemental materials provided, then complete the chart by elaborating on each section related to the weekly content.
  2. Identify key details and examples from the weekly resources to serve as a basis for the content being recorded in your chart.
  3. Write clearly and coherently using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and mechanics.

Describe Eboo Patel’s views on one of the following topics as his views are presented in the book Acts of Faith.

Paper 3 should be 750-1000 words in length. It will be an expository paper based on the book Acts of Faith by Eboo Patel. In the paper, your assignment is to describe Eboo Patel’s views on one of the following topics as his views are presented in the book Acts of Faith. Choose just one of these topics (not more than one) as the focus of your paper:

(A) How to discourage young people from joining extremist religious groups

(B) How to embrace one’s own belief system while also learning from other religions (C) How to create and lead a successful non-profit group

For this paper, do not focus on saying whether you agree or disagree with Patel’s views. Do not focus on

comparing or contrasting his views to the views of others, or on doing outside research. Also, keep in

mind that the paper is not a “book report” in which you are supposed to summarize the entire book.

Rather, focus the paper on your chosen topic. Your goal is to describe Patel’s views on that topic clearly,

accurately, and in detail, as his views are presented in Acts of Faith. To do this, include at least eight

citations from the book in your paper. Be sure to discuss general terms and principles from the book, as

well as some of the concrete examples that Patel considers.

Make the last sentence or two of the paper’s introduction your thesis statement: a statement that clearly

states three main ideas you will present in the paper. Then, focus one paragraph of the body of the paper

on each main idea, before ending with a conclusion. This will lead to the following list of paragraphs:

Use correct spelling, grammar, and style throughout the paper. Also, be sure to follow all the instructions

in Part 4 of the syllabus concerning assignment formatting, citations, submission, and the Turnitin

program. (Some details on how to cite Acts of Faith correctly using APA style are provided below.) If your

paper is late or not submitted, it will be subject to the relevant penalties described on the syllabus.

Your grade for the paper will be based on the quality of your work in the following areas, with the highest

scores in each area awarded for excellent work:

20% Factual information

Provide detailed and accurate information about Patel’s views as these are presented in

the book Acts of Faith, using appropriate citations.

40% Main ideas and supporting evidence

Organize the paper around three main ideas that are interesting and significant and relate

to your chosen topic. For each main idea, present it in a clear and detailed way in a

paragraph of the paper’s body. Use good logical reasoning and appropriate citations to

show how each main idea reflects Patel’s views in Acts of Faith.

10% Spelling, grammar, and style

10% APA format, citations, and References page

 

20% Other instructions

In addition to your grade, which will be based on the above criteria, I will also complete a standard rubric that is associated with the paper on LiveText. The marks on the rubric will be approximate and will not directly affect your grade, but are meant to give you a rough sense of how you are doing in various areas of the writing process. When I complete the rubric, I will focus on the general categories on the left side of the rubric, rather than the small text in each box. (The row for “content area” will relate to the factual information you present in the paper and the row for “writing strategy” will relate to your organization of the paper around three main points that present Patel’s views on your chosen topic.)

What are the options available to a large global organization to meet their goal of implementing some form of PKI?Explain.

In the Unit 4 assignment you learned about a complex international organization that had some unsecure account management practices. Following the audit, the board and executives made the decision to consider implementing a PKI system that would require all internal communication to be done using some form of encryption keys. You have been hired to inform the board as to the alternatives available and the benefits and challenges of those solutions.

Use the study materials and engage in any additional research needed to fill in knowledge gaps. Write a 3-4 page paper that addresses the following:
