Ethical Dilemma

Although you are relatively new to your company, you have been placed in charge of marketing team for a new line of skin care products called Revitalization. The task for your marketing team is to come up with the product packaging and print ad campaign for the entire line of skin care products. The manufacturer would like your company to emphasize the idea that the products are environmentally safe and 100% hypoallergenic for all users. In an effort to familiarize yourself with the product, you sample the hand cream and develop a mild rash on your hand – clearly from an allergic reaction to one of the chemicals in the product. It is clear that that the product is not 100% hypoallergenic for all consumers and that making such a statement on the product packaging and in the ad campaign would be considered false advertising. This places both your ad agency and the product’s manufacturer at risk.

As the leader of the marketing team, it is your responsibility to make your supervisor aware of the situation.

 

Discussion:

In memorandum addressed to your supervisor, inform him of the problem your team has encountered and provide a suggestion on how your ad agency should proceed. Your memorandum should:

Outline the particular problem/issue;

Explain/outline/address the ethical ramifications for both your company and the product’s manufacturer;

Provide a fully developed suggestion on how to proceed. This may entail suggesting how to communicate the issue to the company or providing a rewording the problematic advertising line (100% hypoallergenic). The suggestion is completely up to you.

The memorandum should be organized and follow a format for a general memorandum.

Your memorandum should be fully developed, meaning that you detail your information for an audience that is not familiar at all with the particular case.

How can socialization and mentoring help minimize resistance to change using the contingency approach?

Military aviation continues to be an important part of international conflict resolution, although there have long been arguments over whether a war can be won entirely in the air. Discuss contemporary military aviation, placing it in its historical context. Include the following:

• Research and report on the role of air power in the 1999 NATO war in Kosovo, the first military campaign entirely decided by air power.

The U.S. Court System is a complex system that includes both federal and state-level courts. The federal system includes the judicial branch of the government. This system is designed to help society interpret the U.S. Constitution and provide guidelines for society. Court cases may concern many different topics and have an unlimited number of outcomes.

Use the Internet or Strayer databases to research a civil or criminal court case in which you are interested.

Write a five to eight (5-8) page paper in which you:

1. Summarize the seminal facts of the case that you chose.
2. Explain the main laws that have been violated in the case that you chose.
3. Describe the possible penalties that could be associated with the laws that you just described.
4. Explain whether your specific case was heard in the state or federal court system, and include any related jurisdictional requirements. Explain the fundamental reasons why it was necessary for the case to be heard in that particular court system.
5. Summarize the outcome of the case, and indicate whether the judge or jury made the decision.
6. Discuss whether or not you believe that the outcome of the case was justified. Provide a rationale for the response.
7. Use at least (3) quality academic resources. Note: Wikipedia and other websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
