Why is it important to look at both the manager and the employee point of view when engaging in human resource planning, and how can this information be used as a source of strategy?

What do you think is the likelihood that we will discover some smaller building block than the subatomic particles? Is there something even smaller yet?

There is a growing body of research indicating that gender plays an important role in the effectiveness of the juvenile justice system treatment and that girls’ needs are not adequately addressed. This module’s assignment has four parts.

 

1) Explain in detail and with authoritative sources what role gender plays at one specific point (you choose and identify the point) of the juvenile justice system.

2) What does recent (post-2000) research say is an effective prevention and intervention programming specific to girls and why?

3) Thoroughly explain which of the theories examined in Modules 2 and 3 best explains the trajectory of girls from the juvenile justice system into the adult criminal justice system.

4) Specifically explain in one paragraph how our university’s core value of RESPECT applies to specific contents of the textbook readings for this module and include a citation and page number.

Your response should go beyond the obvious and be written at a graduate level. Your answer must be no less than 1200 words and you must use at least three authoritative sources to support your position. All sources must be properly cited using the APA style.

Identify a contemporary health care issue and write a paper of 750-1,000 words that describes how the issue affects the organization from a business perspective. Apply the following questions to generate your conclusions about how you would proceed:

1. Will there be differences between how for-profit organizations (versus not-for-profit organizations) are impacted?
2. What are the perspectives and responsibilities of the financial management staff?
3. What are the basic rules and regulations of the issue that the financial management of the organization must address?

Cite a minimum of three references to support your rationale.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

Identify a political or social goal that you think the United States has done a good job advancing on the past twenty years.

Chapter 7 of your textbook, Managing and Using Information Systems: A Strategic Approach, provides an overview of the business of IT, organizational maturity, and IT funding models. Read Case Study 7-1, “Troon Golf,” on page 234 in the textbook and answer all three questions regarding the decision Troon Golf’s leadership made in implementing a TCO system:

• Why does the TCO approach allow Troon management to refresh its hardware at the optimal cost level?
• Why, in your opinion, were IT expenses spiraling out of control before the TCO system? What are examples of the hidden costs of operating and maintaining the hardware?
• If you were the head of marketing for Troon, what benefit would you receive from Mr. Westmark’s decision to implement TCO?

1.  In a paragraph, introduce your culture. Be sure to give the location of the group, why you chose t he group, and

what you hope to learn.

2.  In one to two paragraphs, describe three interesting aspects about this culture. Choose something about their

everyday life (folkway), something about their religion (value), and something about their biggest taboo (more).

3.  Discuss the agents of socialization involved in the transmission of the three interesting aspects you chose.

4.  Finally, how does each of these aspects affect the development of self for members of the group?
