A counselor has been treating a client, Jay, who was recently in a bad accident that left him bedridden and partially paralyzed. With sustained physiotherapy and medication, the paralytic effect has gone, but motor movements are still affected.
Jay\’s steady girlfriend left him when she could not cope with the demands of a paralytic partner. Jay lost his job too. These left a heavy dent on his self-esteem, and he was slowly letting his life slip past. He began attending therapy at the insistence of friends.
One day, he discloses to his counselor that he is contemplating suicide because there is nothing he looks forward to in life. He announces that he has had enough of living and plans to shoot himself that evening. The counselor knows he has access to an old hunting rifle and that he has attempted suicide in the past. He has been under treatment for major clinical depression for the past three months.
1.Discuss the ethical issues presented in this scenario; identify the ethical code number and definition.
2.Describe the limits of confidentiality that must be considered.
3.Justify whether or not the counselor would need to break confidentiality.
4.Describe the steps the counselor should follow if he or she finds it necessary to break confidentiality.

– The point here is to provide an occasion and context for exploring the relevance and limits of concepts, positions, and questions advanced bu the philosophers we have been reading. The paper should be organized so as to address selected aspect, of course, reading in light of some specific text, the social phenomenon that you see in circulation today.
-In this paper should be a critical engagement in which you analyze and interpret prospective meanings and implications of ideas they have been advancing.
-To talk substantively about 2 to 3 different course texts ( at least on of which should be Descartes or Kant).
– the paper should be( 800-1200 words) plus bibliography ( Author,Title, publisher, citation with reasonable)
Very Important- this to books 1) Rene Descartes . Discount on method by Pamela Kraus & Frank Hunt. 2) Kant Political Writing by H. S. Reiss.

Your paper should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Please include citations to support your ideas.
Write a mid-length (5-8 pages, double-spaced) paper on the topic. The various questions included in each topic are meant as spurs to stimulate your thinking and provide possible directions in which to take your paper; do not feel like you have to “answer” or “cover” all or even any of them. Regardless of which topic you choose, you should refer to specific passages from the readings we have prepared for class (including the optional readings, should you desire) to support your position. In your analysis, be as precise and focused as possible, whether it be in terms of plot, characters, literary techniques, tones, styles etc. Precision of analysis should help add depth and insight to your interpretation. The best papers will be able to link the specifics of your analysis to overarching themes displayed in the texts themselves.
Topic:
What role do the theoretical articles we have read (Liang, Hu, Chen, and Lu) assign to literature in general and/or fiction? Do the examples we have read live up to that standard? If so, how? If not, in what ways and to what extent do they differ from the theoretical models?

Some guidance for writing your rhetorical analysis of a scholarly journal article this week.
Some guidance for writing your rhetorical analysis of a scholarly journal article this week.
The thesis for the rhetorical analysis should concentrate on Structure, Language, and Reference (SLR) as the criteria that you will use to analyze a scholarly journal article. I recommend analyzing a scholarly journal article from the (medical/biological) sciences since we will be doing an annotated bibliography in the sciences soon. Use EBSCO or Pubmed.gov to find the full text of a sciences article related to your course theme and work of literature. Search using keywords associated with the theme and work of literature from the course list.
Begin by writing the body paragraphs. Write one paragraph each for Structure, Language, and Reference. Use the terminology from Chapter 5 and from the Conventions Chart I\’ve provided in the first folder in Writing Aids in Resources to help you analyze the disciplinary conventions of the article. Use examples from the article, including brief quotations, to make your points.
Once you have the three body paragraphs written, you can formulate a short introduction and conclusion that provide the context for your analysis. Address an audience of students like yourself who are interested in learning how to write in the disciplines; suggest to them that one of the best ways they can learn about the disciplines is to analyze a prime specimen from disciplinary writing: a scholarly journal article. Explain that you will use the SLR method of analysis formulated by Linton, Madigan, and Johnson in their article “Introducing Students to Disciplinary Genres: The Role of the General Composition Course.” Then state a thesis at the end of the introduction that sounds something like this: By examining the Structure, Language, and Reference conventions of (name the authors\’) scholarly journal article (give the title), we can see how well (or how poorly or how fairly, depending one what you find) a scholarly journal article follows certain conventions associated with that discipline.
Tip: Go to the FTCC Library (http://www.faytechcc.edu/campus-life/academic-support/library/) and use the EBSCO search engine to find a scholarly article (a literary analysis in the humanities related to your chosen theme’s author/work or a scholarly article in the sciences or social sciences related to your theme). You may wish to use the Literature Resource Center for the humanities article (click on Online Research under Resource Links); or you may wish to use PubMed.gov (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/) to find a health-sciences article related to your theme.
