Pricing strategy varies significantly across different market structures.  The pricing guidelines in a monopoly market are relatively straightforward.  Since the company is the only producer offering the product, it can mark-up the price as far as the customer can bear.  The pricing strategies for a producer operating in a perfect competition structure are also fairly intuitive. They are price takers, and hence price is set at the marginal cost of the product.  This is due to the fact that there are many firms offering nearly identical products.  However, there is optimal pricing for the market structures offering differentiated products with many competitors (oligopoly) or a few producers (monopolistic competition). These are much more complex and involved.  It has been stated that differentiation in products that creates differences in customer valuation is the most prevalent type of competition.  In such markets pricing strategies may include the three C’s of cost, competition, and customer.

Develop a paper detailing an analysis of market structures and relating pricing strategies that are suitable for each of these structures.  Furthermore, include a real world example of pricing strategy for a specific company by identifying its market structure.

Your paper needs to include at least three scholarly sources, i.e. peer reviewed articles. I strongly recommend the use of the APUS library for these sources, as most acceptable resources can only be found in protected databases.

If you are not familiar with the library, its Welcome Slideshow is a good place to start:

Discuss the advantages and the disadvantages of a company’s use of these performance measures.

5 accounting questions due tomorrow morning. Questions are not related, and should be answered separately with the correlating question number on top. References are required.

Q1

The CEO attended a conference that presented the topics of Economic Value Added (EVA), Balanced Scorecard, and activity-based costing. He has come to you wanting more information about these three topics. Discuss the concept of EVA, Balanced Scorecard and activity-based costing and what their purpose is. Discuss the advantages and the disadvantages of a company’s use of these performance measures. How are these three measures related?

Q2

Please listen and watch the videos found in the Week 5 Lecture on fraud, evidence, and computer sabotage. Briefly discuss what you perceive to be the most significant point made by the speakers regarding the auditor’s role in detecting fraud. See attachments.

Q3

We have very interesting topic this week. Please discuss how does the integration of IT into accounting systems enhance internal control?

Q4

Auditors develop overall audit plans to ensure that they obtain “sufficient appropriate audit evidence.” To this end, auditors employ various types of audit tests, or audit procedures. The extent to which auditors use different audit procedures and the timing of those procedures is a matter of professional judgment, which depends upon a number of factors. Decisions about the mix of audit procedures and the timing of procedures significantly impact the speed with which an audit report can be issued.

What factors will an auditor likely consider when determining the types and timing of audit procedures?

Q5

Please discuss and contrast the circumstances in which the auditor would choose not to test controls with those in which he or she would perform tests of controls.

Describe the content and/or subject matter (describe what you see when you look at the work).

Please read these directions and the “Art 100 Museum Paper Grading Rubric” (attached above) before visiting your museum of choice.

  • Attached Visual Record: 5 points

Take a photo in front of the museum’s sign or other identifying marker; a scanned copy of a brochure, postcard front and back, or a ticket stub from the museum will also earn full credit.

  • Format/Style: 10 points

Paper must be typed, double spaced, at least 3-4 pages in length, include a heading with name, date submitted and the course name and number (Intro to Art/ART 100).

  • Grammar, spelling and sentence structure must be checked and not impede comprehension.

Titles of art works must be italicized or underlined (not in quotation marks!).

Sources must be cited properly, if used.

Content/body:

  • Introduction: 10 points
  • Include name of museum and date of visit.
  • Identify a commonality or theme between the works (this could be a similar medium, subject matter, art period/movement, color or other formal element, etc.).
  • THREE WORKS: 90 points (30 points per work-complete these steps for EACH work you include in your paper):
  • Identify artist, title (in italics!), date of work and medium.
  • Describe the content and/or subject matter (describe what you see when you look at the work).

( For example: ” Agnolo Bronzino’s Eleanor of Toledo from 1544 is an oil on wood portrait of a mother seated with her young son standing on her right side. The mother is wearing an elaborate dress with black and gold details. The child has blond hair and is wearing a dark blue jacket and is smiling slightly.)

  • Identify a style or movement the work is associated with;  use your Preble’s textbook to place the work in its style category. Explain how it fits into this particular art movement.

( For example: ” Eleanor of Toledo was completed during the beginning of the Mannerist art movement, which took place in Italy beginning in the 1520s. This painting is characteristically Mannerist because the figures in the painting have exaggerated and elongated proportions-especially fingers-and are painted with rich colors used to imply texture.”)

  • Identify 2-3 formal elements (define each formal element using your textbook; identify each formal element in the art work).

( For example: “The dress depicted in Bronzino’s Eleanor of Toledo demonstrates the artist’s use of texture. Texture is the perceived surface quality of an object. In the painting the fabric of the mother’s dress appears to be silk with velvet details and shiny pearl and gold beads…”)

  • Conclusion: 15 points
  • Give your personal reaction to the three works you chose (what you liked/did not like).
  • Describe how this assignment expanded your appreciation of art.

This is a literature review. I will provide the 5 sources for you. What I need is a literature review of the information within the articles and how they compare and contrast to each other. The literature in the articles that I would like for you to pull from the highlighted areas I have created in the articles with the files that I have upload. I also need a fair amount of intext citations using ASA formating. Thank you, I appreciate it.
