Pick an issue from the Alexie text that intrigues you. Research the issue thoroughly. Then, explain the issue to your reader using the Alexie text as a springboard and your research as main points. Your thesis should answer the following question:

What issue from the Alexie text is applicable to us right now? What research exists on this issue?
