Discuss some of the goods or services that could be highlighted in a marketing campaign that involves a concierge practice of medicine.

You work for a marketing department in a hospital within a suburban location of a large metropolitan area. Though it neighbors million-dollar homes, the hospital’s mission includes providing care to underserved and indigent populations in the area.

A new primary care physician moved into the area and approached your hospital to partner with her as she begins a new practice in the community. Because the administration is always anxious to welcome new practitioners to the hospital, you agree to meet with the physician. During the meeting, the physician explains that she wants to establish the first concierge medical practice in the community. The physician plans to attract around 100 families to her practice, and she plans to charge from $300 to $1,000 per month, depending on the size of the family unit. (Note: A goal of 100 families may not be realistic; however, the number makes for easier calculations.)

The patients who join the concierge practice will receive access to the physician’s services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at an office located near the hospital. Families will receive preventive care services, and the physician will design wellness programs to encourage healthy lifestyles for her patients. The physician will use the hospital for all emergent care, day surgeries, rehabilitation, and in-patient care. The physician also plans to use nutritionists and the hospital’s fitness center facilities.

  1. Discuss some of the goods or services that could be highlighted in a marketing campaign that involves a concierge practice of medicine.
  2. What advantages do you think a concierge practice of medicine might contribute to the hospital’s offerings of products to the community?
  3. Discuss some of the issues and challenges that may arise from the hospital sponsoring a concierge practice of medicine.

Discuss solutions or regulations to energy use in high-demand countries.

Energy Choices Worldwide energy consumption varies dramatically, but the impacts are shared by all. The most commonly used fuel sources for energy around the world are the fossil fuels: coal, oil, and natural gas. Combustion of fossil fuels releases pollutants to the atmosphere, where the emissions from all countries combine to cause local, regional, and global issues. One of the primary pollutants of concern is carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. Carbon dioxide emissions are responsible for climate change and governments around the world have taken steps to control pollution, but not all countries are successful in reducing carbon emissions. While all countries produce pollution and emit greenhouse gasses, the emissions are greatly unequal across the globe. Consider what kinds of factors would determine how much energy is used by a country, a region, a household, or an individual. What factors would influence the fuel choices made by these people and institutions? Conduct research to determine the common fuel sources, emissions, and total energy consumption by the United States and a developing country of your choice, such as China, India, or Brazil. CIA. What are the similarities and differences in the fuel sources, emissions, and consumption between the two countries? What are the countries’ levels of involvement in worldwide emissions regulations? Discuss solutions or regulations to energy use in high-demand countries. How can high-use and low-use countries work together to reduce overall emissions? In working together to make these reductions, how would you address possible cultural differences and diversity concepts that will emerge because of this partnership? Describe how low and high use countries can bridge cultural differences through strategic partnerships. What I Look For In a Research Paper

I WILL REFER TO THESE NINE POINTS WHEN GRADING YOURS

I want you to do well on this first assignment, but there are some rules you must follow, so this is what I am going to be looking for in your research paper, due at the end of week 4.

If you really want to do a good job on this then you MUST write from an outline, and if you’re unsure of how to write one, there are plenty of sites on the Internet.  In addition, I will be happy to look at yours as well as your draft of the paper before you submit it, so please call me with any questions.

  1. If you do not submit assignment 1, you automatically lose 14 percent.  If you fail to submit both assignments 1 and 2, you automatically lose 28 percent.  That’s three letter grades, which means that the highest grade you can receive in the course is a C, even if you get 100 percent on every other assessment.

  1. Your title must be the same as the assignment topic.  EXACTLY the same.

  1. Omit photographs and art work, but if you include graphs or tables, then you must explain them.

  1. Don’t begin with a history of the country or where it’s located or its main industries, agriculture, population, etc.  Get right to the point.

  1. Do not use any phrases that begin with “I think  . . .” or “In my opinion . . .” or “I knew someone who . . .”  This is a research paper, not an opinion piece.

  1. If you list a reference in the bibliography, it must be cited as a source in the text of the paper.  Ten references = ten citations in APA.

  1. Do not list URL (web) addresses either in the bibliography or as citations in the text.  Use the author’s name and date of publication.

  1. Do not quote long paragraphs, because they take up too much space.  Use few lines only and then paraphrase the rest.

  1. MAKE CERTAIN YOU SUBMIT A TURNITIN WITH LESS THAN A 20% SIMILARITY INDEX. OTHERWISE, I CAN’T READ YOUR PAPER FOR A GRADE.
