Differentiated Assessment

Over the past four weeks you’ve had the opportunity to create a classroom environment that supports the foundations of differentiated instruction (DI), brainstorm differentiated strategies that align with the Common Core State Standards, and create the foundation for a unit plan based that incorporates instructional technology while adhering to UDL and DI principles.

This week, you will use what you’ve learned to create a summative assessment for the unit plan you created using one of the strategies from your PLC blog, and with the classroom environment you’ve outlined in Week Two.

This summative assessment must:

1. 1. Identify the Common Core State Standard being assessed for mastery (it can be the same one you used in Week Four’s assignment).
   2. Identify a unit goal that aligns with the Common Core State Standard.

For example: The students will (Measurable Verb) by (A specific outcome with a specific tool) with ___% accuracy. 

1. You will also address:

• Measurable mastery – Describe how mastery can be measured. (e.g., classify, discriminate, create, construct, defend, predict, evaluate, etc.). Be sure to avoid subjective words such as know, understand, learn, or appreciate.
• A specific outcome – Explain what students will do to demonstrate mastery. (e.g., skill or knowledge that has been gained as a result of this unit).
• Measurable progress – Identify the tool that will be used to measure mastery. (e.g., project, journal, test, etc.).
• Proficiency Level – Determine the acceptable level of achievement to demonstrate mastery.

Create three formative assessments using the three day lesson plan outline from the unit plan. Be sure that each formative assessment addresses:

• a unique, differentiated teaching strategy for each day’s lesson,
• multiple intelligences,
• student’s different learning styles, and
• how the assessment results will be used to drive instruction.

Create a summative assessment that appraises mastery of the Common Core State Standard and the Unit Objective. Be sure to use the summative assessment outline plan from the unit plan. The summative assessment must include:

• Directions to complete the assessment written using vocabulary and terms geared towards your identified student population.
• A rubric that clearly details how each part of the assignment will be graded.
• Provisions for addressing multiple intelligences and various learning styles.

The assignment should be a minimum of five pages in length, not including the title and reference pages, and must include reference to the course text and one additional resource (scholarly article or online resource). The assignment must be cited in proper APA format. A title and reference page must be included.

• Discuss the importance of a chemical dependency counselor behaving ethically in interactions with clients. Consider the following:
  • Relationships
  • Obligations
  • Trust
  • Client welfare
  • Reputation
• What state laws or regulations involving standards of conduct, transmission, and storage of private health records exist?
• Professional codes of ethics contribute to maintaining ethical standards in a profession. Discuss professional codes in the counselor profession, such as the ACA code.
• Are there any national or regional professional organizations that promote ethical behavior in chemical dependency counseling profession?
• Describe the difference between behaving ethically and behaving legally, and give an example.
• What is the most serious legal consequence of the counselor behaving unethically, and what are the long-term effects of this consequence.

The final slide in your presentation should be a reference page, detailing all of the resources you utilized in completing this presentation. Be sure to reference all of your sources in APA style format.

Write a 900- to 1,150-word paper describing an informal learning experience someone could have.

•    You may describe, for example, how someone becomes afraid of heights, why a particular food or smell moves him or her emotionally, or why he or she dislikes elevators. The experience must be concrete and can be singular or an experience that occurs over a longer period.

Describe the experience by applying learning theories to the steps involved. Include the following:

•    Identify what you learned from the experience.

•    Describe how your learning could have occurred through classical conditioning. Identify the unconditioned stimulus, the unconditioned response, the conditioned stimulus, and the conditioned response.

•    Explain how your learning could have occurred through operant conditioning. Describe the behavior, consequence, and reinforcement. Indicate the schedule of reinforcement, if applicable.

•    Address how your learning could have occurred through cognitive-social learning.

•    Conclude by comparing and contrasting classical conditioning, operant conditioning, and cognitive-social learning.

Include at least two references from the University Library.

Select an organization that both U.S. and international presences.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you answer address the following:

• What does the president and congress do to stimulate the economy? What does the president and congress do to contract the economy?
• What does the Federal Reserve do to stimulate the economy? What does the Federal Reserve do to contract the economy?
• What motivates policymakers to stimulate the economy or contract the economy?
• Based on your research, what does the Federal Reserve say about its policy goals?
• What does the Federal Reserve say about the strength of the economy?
• How does the strength of other economies outside of the U.S. affect your organization?
• Based on your research, recommend changes in your organization’s competitive strategies or supply chain. 

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:

Provide Part I: Revision of A Problem Exists (3-4 pages)

1. Revise, using feedback from the professor and classmates, your Persuasive Paper Part I: A Problem Exists.

Develop Part 2: Solution to Problem and Advantages (3-4 pages for 6-8 pages total)

2. Include a defensible, relevant thesis statement clearly in the first paragraph. (The thesis statement may need to be modified to reflect added information and purpose of this part.)
3. Explain a detailed, viable solution that supports your thesis. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
4. State, explain, and support the first advantage (economic, social, political, environmental, social, equitable, ethical/moral, etc.) to your solution. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
5. State, explain, and support the second advantage (economic, social, political, environmental, social, equitable, ethical/moral, etc.) to your solution. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
6. State, explain, and support the third (and fourth if desired) advantage (economic, social, political, environmental, social, equitable, ethical/moral, etc.) to your solution. This should be one or two (1-2) paragraphs.
7. Use effective transitional words, phrases, and sentences.
8. Provide a concluding paragraph / transitional paragraph that summarizes the proposed solution and its advantages.
9. Develop a coherently structured paper with an introduction, body, and conclusion.
10. Use one (1) or more rhetorical strategies (ethos, logos, pathos) to explain advantages.
11. Support advantage claims with at least three (3) additional quality relevant references. Use at least six (6) total for Parts 1 and 2. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources

Write an eight to ten (8-10) page paper in which you:

1. Identify at least five (5) potential physical threats that require attention.
2. Determine the impact of at least five (5) potential logical threats that require attention.
3. Detail the security controls (i.e., administrative, preventative, detective, and corrective) that the pharmacy could implement in order to protect it from the five (5) selected physical threats.
4. Explain in detail the security controls (i.e., administrative, preventative, detective, and corrective) that could be implemented to protect from the five (5) selected logical threats.
5. For each of the five (5) selected physical threats, choose a strategy for addressing the risk (i.e., risk mitigation, risk assignment, risk acceptance, or risk avoidance). Justify your chosen strategies.
6. For each of the five (5) selected logical threats, choose a strategy for handling the risk (i.e., risk mitigation, risk assignment, risk acceptance, or risk avoidance). Justify your chosen strategies.
7. Use at least five (5) quality resources in this assignment (no more than 2-3 years old) from material outside the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

• Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
• Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are:

2.From a public health perspective, what are some ways to overcome cultural boundaries, and develop trust with population groups that are in need of targeted interventions?

3.Give an example of a program designed to address a disparity. Do you think this program is working? Why or why not?

4.What role do you feel the US should play in global health, and why?

5.How are issues faced in developing countries different from those in developed countries? Why does this difference exist?

6.Shi (2014) describes the health issues of several countries across the globe. Choose one of these countries and compare its issues to that of the US?

Part 2 the paper and attached is the topic I cose before.

Using your chosen topic from Week 2, write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper on your topic becomes a policy. In your paper, include the following information:

• Restate your policy’s objective
• Define Evaluation stage (explain the evaluation process that would be used to determine if your stated policy objective(s) could be met)
• Define Analysis (explain how analysis supports evaluation, explain what data would be used to evaluate your policy identify factors that could prevent your policy objective from being achieved, and identify factors that could contribute to the policy meeting its objectives)
• Define Revision (explain how evaluation and analysis support policy revision, and identify any revisions to your policy that you believe are necessary based on factors identified during the analysis stage)

• • Cite a minimum of four references.

Read this week’s required article: “What You Don’t Know About Apple”.

In a three- to four-page paper (not including the title and reference pages):

• Discuss if Apple will continue its path to be the frontrunner in revolutionizing the digital marketplace.
• Discuss if Apple’s competition has increased their share of the marketplace at Apple’s expense.
• Discuss if Apple will succeed without Steve Jobs.

The paper

• Must be three to four double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
  • Title of paper
  • Student’s name
  • Course name and number
  • Instructor’s name
  • Date submitted
• Must use at least three scholarly sources from the Ashford University Library, one of which must be peer reviewed, in addition to the textbook.
• Must document all sources in APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

As you have learned, one way to involve families is to use storybooks. For this assignment you will first review theHarvard Family Research Project Storybook Corner and read the overview regarding the Family Involvement Network Project and the Family Involvement Storybook Project. Read Tomasito’s Mother Comes to School and the accompanying activities.

Choose a book from Harvard Family Research Project: Family Involvement Storybook Selections or fromReading is Fundamental: Multicultural Booklist.

Then, from the resources above and your readings from the text, create a lesson to engage children and their families. Your lesson should include the following elements and should be four-six pages in length not including the title and references page. You will need to include at least three credible sources, one of which must be your text. Use all three sources to cite your work and be sure to use correct APA formatting as per the Ashford Writing Center Guidelines.

• Summarize the text in your own words.
• Describe your rationale for choosing the book and state what you hope to accomplish by using it with your students and their families. Write a family letter about your chosen story book and invite families to attend school to take part in group activities related to the book.
• Create at least five discussion questions to use with your students and their families.
• Describe two different activities that can be completed by families and their children in the classroom. Be sure to cite your source(s) for these activities.
• Describe one activity that can be completed by the family at home. Be sure to cite your source for this activity.
• Create an evaluation form to solicit feedback from parents and students to assess the value of this program.
