• Deadlines are often associated with writing proposals. Determine where or what specifically can be “skimped” on when writing a proposal in order to meet the deadline.

 

• Imagine you are asked to write a proposal for a new software application that you and your supervisor see adding value to the entire organization of about 1,000 people in three separate locations. Prepare a headings outline for a formal proposal that will be submitted to your supervisor’s manager for consideration.

• Select one (1) person whom you consider to be a leader (e.g., Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King, Jr., a family member, a close friend, etc.). Explain the key characteristics that the selected individual possesses that makes you believe he or she is an effective leader. “Local and Global Communities”  Please respond to one (1) of the following:

• Use the Internet to research the population of your community or town. City-Data, is a great Website to get you started. Identify whether you town is growing or declining. Describe at least one (1) sociological aspect that can be attributed to this change.

 

• Select a country and go to the CIA’s World Factbook Website, and research its economic wealth or poverty. Note: Please review the other student’s responses so that you do not repeat another student’s selection of a country. Then, describe the economic wealth or poverty of that country. Discuss any sociological aspects that may be causing this wealth or poverty.

Identify and describe any instruments used in each of the following types of needs analysis:
