A convincing business plan will detail the strategy and the future operational plans of an entity. Business plans are an essential part of the start-up information needed for an organization.

In this assignment, you will demonstrate your understanding of the necessary aspects of a professional business plan.

Tasks:

Respond to the following:

• Write a synopsis of your business idea and the important elements/information that should be included in a well thought out business plan.

• Discuss how the information should be organized, and who will use the information for decision-making.

In a minimum of 300 words, post your responses using critical thinking and analysis.

Nuclear medicine is a specialized branch of modern medicine that exploits the process of radioactivity for imaging, diagnosis, and treatment. Many imaging techniques inject small amounts of radioactive material into the body, which are then tracked by a sensing device specific to the type of radiation emitted from that material. Radiation has also been used to destroy diseased tissue, typically beyond the reach of standard surgical techniques.

 

Using the readings for this module, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, write a paper on nuclear medicine. Address the following:

Review the scenario Tim’s Coffee Shoppe. You will begin to create the foundation for your Final Project marketing plan.

Checklist:

View the Assignment #1 rubric. Write a minimum of 4 pages using APA format and citation style which includes the title and references page. Submit your paper to the Assignment Dropbox before the end of this unit.

Familiarize yourself with the nine steps that Mills (2014) presents in Chapter 3, pp. 69-70, in order to complete the first three steps of your Final Project, Action Research Plan.  Follow the directions below as they differ from the steps on page 69. As well, review Mills (2014) Informed Consent and Protection from Harm in Chapter 2, pp. 32-36, in order to discuss the need for completion of informed consent as it relates to your action research proposal.

At this point, you are presenting early ideas that are not concrete, as you have not conducted a review of literature yet.  Therefore, your responses should be in outline form only.  (You will make these three steps more concrete and formal in structure in Week Three). For now, you will briefly explain the problem or situation.

1. Current Work Setting
   • Describe your current professional setting, if applicable, whether you are working in a school setting, other educational setting, or organization not related to education.
2. Potential Population Effected
   • • Keeping the focus relatively small, describe whether the potential population of interest includes a group of students and what their grade or age level includes. If you currently work with adults in a non-educational setting, include who in your workplace is impacted. If you are currently unemployed, include who may benefit from a potential change or intervention (i.e. your child, a related child, an adult in the family, etc.). Avoid the use of specific names, rather describe the group or individuals who would be influenced or involved in the action research project.
   • Based on what you learned by reading the selection in Mills, discuss the importance of and need to communicate and acquire informed consent. When contemplating where your study may occur and who it may involve, who (person’s professional role) do you anticipate will need to sign an informed consent form for your study? If no signatures are needed, clearly state why not.

CASE STUDY:

Ricardo is a licensed counselor in a large city who works with adolescents and their families. Monday through Thursday Ricardo provides services at an office downtown for clients who have a limited ability to pay for ongoing counseling. Many of the insurance companies used by these clients will not reimburse for family therapy, so Ricardo provides an individual diagnosis for one of the family members, such as “Generalized Anxiety Disorder” or “Adjustment Disorder with Depression,” so the insurance companies will cover the sessions and the clients will only have to come up with the co-payment. Otherwise, they would not be able to receive any counseling at all. For clients without insurance, Ricardo lowers his fee substantially so they can afford their counseling sessions, and often lets clients go without payment because he knows that they really need the help.

Conversely, every Friday afternoon, Ricardo provides services in an upscale section of town from an office that he rents from a friend who is also a licensed therapist. His friend has a full practice and can provide many clients for Ricardo; Ricardo pays her $50.00 for each client that she refers to him. At this site, Ricardo charges an hourly rate of $135, knowing that the clients can easily afford this fee. He administers a battery of tests as a standard intake process for all clients, knowing that the clients’ insurance companies reimburse at a high rate for these assessments.

Ricardo says that the money he makes on Fridays supports his ability to see less fortunate clients.

Change Models

Read the article, “Are You Managing Change Or Leading It?”  Based on the information in the article, the author explains that change is inevitable. Which of the four things suggested to create a culture that is compatible with change do you believe is the most important and why? The author explained the importance of having a vision.
