The topic of criminal justice reform is being discussed widely these days.  Even President Obama has offered his opinion on how the criminal justice system can be imporved.  Please read the recent New York Times article entitled “Police leaders join call to cut prison rosters” and then write an essay that must include the following:

 

* Whether you agree with police chiefs and explain why or why not

* Discuss your own concerns about the criminal justice system and offer your own ideas on how to effectuats meaningful reform.

 

2-3 pages, double spaced Times new roman 12 pt font.  No references are required, just coherent, well organized presentation of ideas on how to improve the criminal justice system.

4. Explain what you believe the Ethics of Care and Peacemaking Criminology presented in your textbook should mean for law enforcement professionals.

In the United States, a number of law enforcement agencies, including the Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Homeland Security among others have taken on roles to fight computer crimes and terrorism.

Use the Internet or Strayer library to research articles on the efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat digital crimes and digital terrorism, as well as the roles of such agencies in the future of the combat in question.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

1. Describe the overall impact (e.g., economic, social, etc.) of utilizing information technologies in combatting digital crime and digital terrorism.
