What are TQM and ISO?Discuss.

  • What are TQM and ISO?
  • How might TQM and ISO be used to improve an organization?
  • What are the benefits and challenges each?
  • What is the role of a Quality Control department in relation to either TQM or ISO?

Prepare a 850-word paper detailing the findings of your discussion.

How did baseball mirror society (good and bad?) as a reflection of American society? Discuss.

In a minimum of 1000 words, describe why baseball is America’s past-time. As part of your paper, you can share some of your memories of baseball. How did baseball mirror society (good and bad?) as a reflection of American society? Per Grantham Guidelines, your assignment must be submitted properly in APA format and in a word document. Be sure you cite all of your sources, and you must show direct evidence of integrating your textbook once per chapter as part of your final exam. Your paper should include at least one resource from the library.

Using demonstrated research findings, describe the strengths and weaknesses of a single-payer healthcare system.

Assignment 2: Single-Payer Healthcare

The 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was implemented primarily to provide access to health insurance for those who would not otherwise be insured. The ACA is not designed as a single-payer healthcare system although some of its architects as well as its detractors see the ACA as steering the United States toward one.

Research the single-payer approach to healthcare delivery using your textbook, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet.

In a 3–4-page paper, address the following:

  • Define a single-payer system and identify a country where it is used.
  • Using demonstrated research findings, describe the strengths and weaknesses of a single-payer healthcare system.
  • Based on your current situation in terms of healthcare coverage (insured by an employer, covered under a parent’s or spouse’s policy, receiving government benefits, uninsured, etc.), explain how a single-payer plan would affect how you receive healthcare. Do you favor a single-payer approach? Why, or why not?
  • If you were to design a single-payer system, explain how you would address the challenges.

Discuss what you think could be done to reduce identified vulnerabilities.

Paper: Home Security Vulnerabilities

For this assignment, we will focus on the various tools and techniques available to the security professional in order to prepare a security vulnerability assessment.

Assess your residence, or one occupied by a relative or friend, for every security vulnerability that you see. Remember, do not assume criminals will not notice minor weaknesses.

During your assessment, focus on

  1. the neighborhood and general area, and
  2. at least four of the following:
  • Alarms
  • Lighting
  • Landscaping
  • Doors
  • Windows
  • Locks
  • Fences or Walls
  • Cameras
  • Motion Sensors

Explain why you believe your five focus areas are or are not potential vulnerabilities.

Then, discuss what you think could be done to reduce identified vulnerabilities.

For this assignment, you are required to prepare a report of 3–5 pages (excluding title page and reference page), and post it in the respective Dropbox for this week.

Remember to include at least two authoritative references. They must be cited within the paper as well as listed on a reference page. See the APA citation tutorial in the Course Syllabus.

Identify the instructional plan template that YOU believe is the most well-rounded and high-quality and justify your reasons with research and examples.

Three instructional plan templates constructed by a variety of leaders in education provide solid examples of what quality instructional plans should include. The work of Madeline Hunter dates the furthest back and is still used today, primarily in the elementary setting. Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe provide a more modern approach to curriculum and lesson design with their model of Understanding by Design (UbD). Others, as modeled by the New York State Educational Department, work closely to align their instructional plans with the Common Core State Standards.

Review each of the provided instructional plan designs:

Analyze each instructional plan and structure a Word document, essay-style as such:

    1. Introduction: Introduce the essential elements, purpose, and value of creating and following a high-quality instructional plan. Include a thesis stating your intent to highlight key elements of each respective plan as well as your intent to identify what you find to be the most effective plan while justifying your reasoning.
    2. Body: Discuss the following for EACH instructional plan design. (Do not list—this is paragraph format without headings/subheadings.)
      • The source’s name (i.e., Hunter).
      • Key components representing most essential instructional plan requirements (standard, objective, activities, assessments, etc.).
      • Unique components (What makes each plan different from the others? What is notably missing or added compared to the others?).
      • Description of how Gradual Release of Responsibility Model is or is not represented.
      • Description of how assessment is embedded and potentially supports informing a teacher of student mastery of the objective(s).
      • Evidence that the instruction plan stimulates critical thinking.

Your intent in this first part is to:

  • Inform the reader through the introduction and body.
  • Identify the instructional plan template that YOU believe is the most well-rounded and high-quality and justify your reasons with research and examples.

Conclusion: Make a selection between the three templates as to which one represents the best instructional plan to you. Include the key elements you’ve explored thus far. Explain its strengths, and recommend two ways to make it more effective and high quality. Be sure to justify why enacting your recommendations would make it better. Your essay will be between four to five pages, not including the required cover and reference pages, and should follow APA formatting requirements. You must include a minimum of five peer-reviewed articles or web references (in addition to the textbook), including the three from which the templates came, at least one from any reference used in Weeks One or Two, and one outside source of your own.

Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.

Discuss (a) how these crimes are committed, (b) their impacts on organizations, and (c) the tools a security professional has available to reduce opportunities for such crimes to occur.

Paper: White-Collar Crime

For this assignment, we will focus on the various tools and techniques available to the security professional in order to mitigate white-collar crime.

Select two of the white-collar crimes listed below.

(a) Computer crimes

(b) Credit card fraud

(c) Embezzlement

(d) Workman’s Comp fraud

(e) Environmental crime

(f) Securities fraud

(g) Healthcare fraud

Discuss (a) how these crimes are committed, (b) their impacts on organizations, and (c) the tools a security professional has available to reduce opportunities for such crimes to occur.

Locate an example of one of your two white-collar crimes. Please make sure it is current, that is, within the past 2 years. Analyze the crime and how it was discovered, then discuss possible measures that could have deterred those found guilty.

For this assignment, you are required to prepare a report of three to five pages (excluding title page and reference page), and post it in the respective Dropbox for this week.

Remember to include at least two authoritative references. They must be cited within the paper as well as listed on a reference page. See the APA citation tutorial in the Course Syllabus.

Compare and contrast dynamic routing, distance vector routing, and link-state routing protocols.

Suppose the image below is your company’s network diagram after a merger and you have recently added access controls to your network. The CSO would like to:

  • Change the internal network address to incorporate variable length subnet mask (VLSM) with EIGRP routing protocol.
  • Set up all of the accountants on a separate VLAN.
  • Create a VPN connection to allow accountants to access the accounting database from their home.

Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you:

  1. Re-create the diagram provided in the assignment summary using VLSM, through the use of graphical tools in Microsoft Visio or an open source alternative such as Dia. (The starting address is 172.16.0.0.) Note: The graphically depicted solution is not included in the required page length.
  2. Specify the commands that you would use to set up the routers to use EIGRP.
  3. Outline the requirements to set up a VLAN and VPN access for the accountants.
  4. Specify the VLAN assignment, and incorporate a Spanning Tree protocol into your design to eliminate loops.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

  • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
  • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
  • Include charts or diagrams created in Visio or an equivalent such as Dia. The completed diagrams / charts must be imported into the Word document before the paper is submitted.
