Analyze some of the key social, political, and economic factors that have led to the proliferation of urgent care facilities and primary care practices over the last 20-30 years.

You are the manager of a new primary care clinic located about twenty five (25) miles outside of a small city (population of 50,000). With five (5) family physicians, two (2) nurse practitioners, two (2) physicians’ assistants (PAs), and twenty (20) clinical support staff consisting of RNs, LPNs, and CMAs, the clinic provides primary care services to a diverse community of people living and working outside the city limits. Originally a rural area, the community has been growing and now includes promising opportunities in employment, education, and comfortable living spaces for young families. However, there are still many residents who struggle to make ends meet with older farms that have belonged to families for generations.

The central city includes two (2) large acute care facilities, and one (1) tertiary care facility that is known for its excellent pulmonary care. Both acute care hospitals provide the usual services such as labor and delivery, outpatient surgery, chronic diseases care, etc. and have fully equipped ancillary departments, such as lab and radiology. Up until this point, the residents have used the facilities’ emergency departments for routine illnesses and conditions when their private physicians were not readily available.

Write a five to seven (5-7) page paper in which you:

  1. Analyze some of the key social, political, and economic factors that have led to the proliferation of urgent care facilities and primary care practices over the last 20-30 years.
  2. Create a comprehensive mission statement for the clinic, and discuss how it will facilitate the provision of quality services.
  3. Analyze and discuss one (1) or more directions the clinic might take to grow its business. Determine what factors you would consider when deciding what services to provide in-house and which ones to affiliate with other institutions.
  4. Decide how you will determine if the clinic is meeting its goals. Identify three (3) performance measurements you could use to evaluate the success of the clinic’s services. Begin by naming a goal, and then identify a quantifiable measurement you could use for each to determine if you are coming close or falling short of the goal.
  5. Determine how you would then address whatever opportunities for improvement seem to exist and what processes you would put in place.
  6. Use at least three (3) quality resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as quality resources.
  7. Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
    1. Typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
    2. Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
    3. Include a reference page. Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.

Discuss how you would conduct an admission-seeking interview of the plant controller.

As the director of the internal auditing and fraud investigation departments for a large retail company that buys and sells large volumes of products, you have received an anonymous tip from a confidential employee in one of the high-tech warehouses. The confidential employee noted that there was a major embezzlement taking place in one of the divisions. Members of the internal audit department had completed a routine review of the internal control of that division the previous year, and they found that the control system was properly designed and operating effectively. Only minor recommendations were made, and the next review is due 3 years later.

The confidential employee noted the erratic behavior and lavish lifestyle of the warehouse controller and stated that the controller has been overriding existing controls, which would prevent any audit from being able to detect the embezzlement. The warehouse controller is well-respected and highly trusted by the chief executive officer (CEO) and the chief financial officer (CFO), and their families are involved in the same civic organizations. Investigating the plant controller could cause considerable disruption in the company and the personal lives of the employees.

Please answer 3 of the following questions. As you answer the questions, you must provide support or evidence that will enhance and empirically prove your answers. Academic criminal justice articles or real life criminal justice findings that are not found in journals or other academic sources must be used in supporting your answers. Please use APA style for all cited sources, including your resource page.

Given the situation, discuss some of the options that the company has for handling this situation.
Assuming you decide to investigate these allegations, describe the investigation steps.
In preparation for the interviews, note the order of the witnesses who would be interviewed and how you would plan, conduct, and document your interviews.
Discuss how you would conduct an admission-seeking interview of the plant controller.

What are some of the classroom disadvantages for employing inclusion for other typically developing students?Explain.

One of the top issues in special education is the ongoing debate of “inclusion versus segregation.” The idea of inclusion in education is that all students, no matter what disability they may have, should learn together in the same environment. Fully inclusive schools do not differentiate between special education courses and general education courses, but rather include students with learning, emotional, behavioral, or physical disabilities in classes with all of the other students.

The idea of segregation in education suggests that there are benefits to providing classes separate from general education classes that meet the needs of students with special needs. For some students, this may be for just one or two subjects, while for other students, this encompasses all of their courses.

In this assignment, you will consider those students who suffer from behavioral disorders or social skill deficits.

Using the module readings, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research observational learning. Then, address the following:

  • Based on your learning about observational learning in this module, what are the benefits that these students could gain through their inclusion into a regular classroom?
  • How could the principles of observational learning help to improve the classroom behavior of students with behavioral disorders or social skill deficits?
  • What are some of the classroom disadvantages for employing inclusion for other typically developing students?
  • Do you support the move toward inclusion? Why or why not?

MEMORANDUM

BANKS Industries

TO: BANKS Senior Management

FROM: HR Department

SUBJECT: General Issues

BANKS would like to thank everyone for an excellent quarter following the completion of our merger with our partners in China. While there is still a lot to do, things are starting to fall into place and our new, bigger team is moving forward with some great product innovations and promising endeavors.

As you are aware, while we have a substantially diverse employee population in our home office, the addition of an international team has greatly increased the representation among employees. As we continue to operate, it is important to consider that our cultural values play a strong role in how we each function, and we are likely to encounter differences in how we communicate, interpret information, approach our workday, and many other aspects of work. We value human differences and believe they make us stronger as an organization. However, they can cause significant challenges in how we function on a daily basis.

While this will create challenges, it will also bring opportunities. We are a people-based organization. Without our employees, we have no product or service. This is true for virtually any organization in existence today.

Remember that we are here to work with you and support your efforts to make BANKS successful. The strategic partnership between the human resources (HR) department and management is critical in ensuring that we are well equipped to face current and future challenges, embracing our diversity as we move forward.

MEMORANDUM

BANKS Industries

TO: BANKS Senior Management

FROM: HR Department

SUBJECT: Strategic Partnerships

As we continue to collaborate with you, you may be wondering how human resource management (HRM) can add value to an organization.

The answer lies in the ability of the HRM function to contribute to the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals. If HRM or any other function does not meet this standard, it harms the organization and reduces its chances of being successful. Therefore, HRM must identify organizational goals. It should also build and maintain processes to support and help other operations to be successful. It must link its goals and activities with other organizational units or departments to balance the conflicting interests of the other groups.

Our goal is to accomplish these things while maintaining open lines of communication with management. Over the next several weeks, we will internally analyze our current policies and procedures in an effort to ensure they are consistent with our new goals and vision. We will be communicating these to you in a timely manner.

As a member of the management team, you will be instrumental in communicating this vision to your team. We will work together on this, frequently asking for your feedback or action
