As you learned in your reading, there are several stages to a trial process. Once a crime is reported, the police begin to investigate, collect evidence, and report evidence to the prosecutor. The involvement of the police continues from the beginning of a case to its end.

Tasks:

In this assignment, imagine you are an officer at your local police station. Your supervising officer assigns you to a prestigious unit that receives special projects, including education development. As your first project, you are assigned the task of creating and presenting a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation concerning the trial process to new recruits at the police academy.

Perform the following tasks:

Step 1: Research and develop a plan for the trial process. Use information from both the textbook and the Argosy University online library resources. Refer to the attached terms as a road map and make sure that the terms pertaining to your state criminal court system are present in your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation.    1. Begin with an introduction to the selected topic in which you define all concepts that will be discussed in the paper.
   2. For example, if you select “How do memory and intelligence change as we age?”, as your topic, then you will need to define the terms memory, intelligence and aging.
5. Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
   1. Conclude with an answer to the selected question. Did the evidence you surveyed answer the question satisfactorily? Include your analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the available evidence.
   2. If possible, suggest the course that future research should take if answers to the selected question are less than conclusive.

7. Must briefly summarize each article including the purpose of the investigation, its methodology, and results.
   1. If possible, select peer-reviewed articles that summarize the evidence available in a given field of study (e.g., meta-analysis combines the findings of different studies to uncover trends, commonalities and differences).
   2. Order the articles in the way you think you will discuss them in your paper. Then develop a summary of the scientific evidence that answers the question you selected.
8. Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

For your initial discussion, describe an instance of unfairness or inequality you witnessed in a work situation, where an HRM professional was involved but the situation was not resolved well. Be sure to protect the privacy of the organization and any individuals involved by changing their names for your post. Address the following questions:

• What principle or principles were neglected in this instance?
• What duties and responsibilities did the HRM professional neglect?
• Could this instance have been avoided?
• What strategies could the HRM professional have implemented to avoid this situation, or bring it to a better resolution?
