explain how hypertension or dyslipidemia can lead to the alteration you selected for patients with the factor you identified.

  • Review this week’s media presentation on alterations of cardiovascular functions, as well as Chapter 23 in the Huether and McCance text. Identify the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders.
  • Select one patient factor: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Consider how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders.
  • Select one of the following alterations of cardiovascular disorders: peripheral arterial disease, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, or dysrhythmia. Think about how hypertension or dyslipidemia can lead to the alteration you selected.

Post 1 PAGE PAPER  on a description of the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders, including how the factor you selected might impact the pathophysiology. Then, explain how hypertension or dyslipidemia can lead to the alteration you selected for patients with the factor you identified.

Should Tiny Software have its employees sign non-compete agreements?

1. The employment-at-will doctrine allows employees to quit at any time for any reason and employers to fire employees at any time for any legal reason. How does an employment contract change the relationship between employers and employees from the relationship established under the employment-at-will doctrine? Is an employment contract better for employees than the employment-at-will situation? Is it better for employers?

Your response should be a minimum of 200 words in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.

2. Tiny Software Company creates software security applications intended to protect point-of-sale terminals in retail stores from being hacked. While Tiny Software hires talented and experienced employees, it provides a significant amount of training for those employees. There are two other companies that produce similar software and that compete with Tiny Software, and there are often rumors of other companies that are being formed to compete with Tiny Software.

Should Tiny Software have its employees sign non-compete agreements? Can Tiny Software require that current employees sign non-compete agreements, or will Tiny Software only be able to require that new employees sign non-compete agreements? What should the terms of the non-compete agreements be so that they will be enforceable?

Your response should be a minimum of 200 words in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.

. Explain why you believe the organization needs or does not need work.

question no 1

Using the Digital Dissertations and Theses database from AU Online Library, access the following dissertation: The Use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) as a Predictor of Student Success and Retention in a Community College Recording Studio Techniques Course (Van Regenmorter, 2004). Compare the organization and logic found in Chapter 1, Introduction and Chapter 2, Literature Review. Explain why you believe the organization needs or does not need work.

question no 2

Using the same dissertation, The Use of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) as a Predictor of Student Success and Retention in a Community College Recording Studio Techniques Course (Van Regenmorter, 2004) compare the results and conclusions sections. Do the conclusions logically “grow” from the results of this study? What about the recommendations for future research; do you believe these are viable? Can you suggest any more?

If this dissertation cannot be found at a local AU library, in the AU Online library or www.argosy.sarasota.edu , please select a comparable dissertation for the assignment.

most atheists do not believe that God exists because of the evolution theory advanced by Darwin.Discuss.

It seems others do not believe that God exists and they have given evidence to support their stand. Greta Christian a renowned atheist and professional writer argue that the consistent replacement of supernatural explanations of the world with natural ones is a clear indicator that God does not exist. She cites the example of sickness which in the past was considered a punishment from God for wrong doing. Science has now proven that diseases are caused by viruses and bacteria and can be treated. She further claims that no natural explanation has been replaced by a religious one. She asserts her belief that thousands of phenomena previously explained by religion have been proven scientifically for example the cause of thunder and lightning and why the sun rises and sets. This scientific evidence has strengthened her belief that God does not exist.

Secondly, most atheists do not believe that God exists because of the evolution theory advanced by Darwin. The theory states that the life forms we see now came about from very simple beginnings and due to genetic variations and natural selections we have what we have now. Through a time span of millions of years these processes have generated a range of plants and animals. Those that could not adapt to the changes became extinct like the dinosaurs. Atheist claim that this processes are not directed by anyone, it is just the way the world works making God unnecessary. Stephen Jay Gould, a very vocal atheist, further disputes God’s existence by pointing out that no manifestation of God in the products of nature is available. Science has provided proof able reasons for natural phenomena.

Lastly, Matt McCormick claims believing in God is immoral. According to the scriptures one cannot be moral unless they believe in God. God, according to Matt, threaten us with hell fire and promise of rewards in heaven for believers. Most people believe in God therefore because of fear of eternal damnation. If the threat is to be removed then the same believers will be the most immoral people. Mark claims that one can be moral without believing in God as he questions the morality behind a God who fosters fear and anxiety, has no evidence of its existence and fosters cultural and ethnic strife. For Matt if God really existed then there will be no fear and no cultural strife in the world

Is the protein in each food you ate complete or incomplete, combining to become complementary?EXplain.

Enter your food intake for 3 full days in iProfile by following the WileyPLUS® iProfile instructions. Save this information.

Click on the Access to iProfile link.

Write a 750- to 800-word paper that addresses the following points about your 3-day food intake:

Recorded intake of protein, carbohydrates, and lipids

o   Which foods in your recorded daily intake provide protein? Which provide carbohydrates? Which provide lipids?

o   Review how your recorded protein, carbohydrate, and lipid intake compares with the recommendations of the dietary reference intake. If your recorded protein-carbohydrate-fat intake was too high or too low, which foods might you add or remove to achieve your goal and keep other nutrients in balance?

o   Is the protein in each food you ate complete or incomplete, combining to become complementary? Why is this important?

o   How much of your daily recommended protein, carbohydrates, and lipid intake did you achieve? If your macronutrient intake is insufficient or excessive, what might you do to bring it into the recommended range? Provide specific recommendations.

Macronutrient intake ranges

o   Is macronutrient intake within the recommended range important? What are the effects of too much or too little of a macronutrient? What happens if you consistently eat too little protein? What happens if you eat too few carbohydrates? What happens if you eat too few lipids?

Fiber intake ranges

o   Does your fiber total meet 100% of the recommendation for you, as calculated at iProfile?

o   Does your diet meet the minimum number of servings of foods from each fiber-containing group? If not, which of the fiber-containing groups–fruits and vegetables–fell short of the recommended intake?

o   Which specific foods provide the most fiber in your meals? Which provide the least? Identify trends in your food choices that might affect your fiber intakes.

Dietary modifications

o   What changes might you make to increase the fiber in your diet?

o   How might insufficient or excessive amounts of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, or fiber contribute to health or illness? Provide examples.

o   What have you learned about your diet?

Citations and bibliographic references should be in the University of Chicago/Turabian style. For works in history, foot-notes or end-notes are required. (Avoid social science parenthetical citations).  When in doubt, cite your sources of information.  Work to write clear and flowing essays with smooth transitions from point to point.  The instructor encourages the use of outside sources but does not require it.  Do not use Wikipedia, ask.com, about.com, or other similar sites.  Use academic or scholarly sources wherever possible.
Here is a useful site for citations: “Chicago-Style Citation Quick Guide,” http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html. The instructor uses this style in his replies to students in the weekly discussions. Use the Notes and Bibliography format.
The student’s main post should be submitted by Thursday, end of day, Maryland time (11:59 p.m.). Work to present ideas and information in one’s own style and avoid regurgitating the authors or sources verbatim.  Also, review the questions and try to answer ones that have not been addressed by your colleagues.
For information and guidance on citing e-books, see previous the previous week’s discussions overview.
Please answer or discuss ONE or more of the following:
1.  Historian James Burke wrote that “the self-confidence of modern society is rooted in a belief in progress which came to us in relatively recent times.  What advances from the readings support this belief and how does it compare to beliefs or views of society before the 19th century?  What events or ideas (e.g., Darwin) contributed to this idea of progress in that same century?  Explain citing examples.
