Analyze the seven articles and describe the key themes that emerge across the seven selected articles.

Assignment 2: Required Assignment—Literature Review

For this assignment, you will conduct a literature review of the four-frame model discussed in this course. To complete this assignment, you will choose three peer-reviewed articles from the required reading section of this course and four from the University online library. You will analyze and synthesize the materials to compose a 5–7-page paper of your analysis.

This literature review will be the basis of your LASA assignment in this course during Module 7. Before you begin, review the directions of the LASA assignment to familiarize yourself with its requirements.

The purpose of this literature review is for you to practice:

  • Critically reading and understanding the articles and how to tie the concepts together
  • Synthesizing the various concepts and results of the review
  • Writing a collective analysis of the articles that will help you address the topic of the final assignment

Directions:

  1. Choose a minimum of three articles from the required reading list provided in the course and four from the       University online library databases. Your selected articles should discuss some aspects of the four-frame model discussed in the course. Ensure that your selected articles reflect a blend of research that has contributed to generation of applicable theories as well as a critique and affirmation of the specific theories.
  2. Develop an introduction on the background of the topic, the four-frame model, and the purpose of the literature review.
  3. Analyze the seven articles and describe the key themes that emerge across the seven selected articles.
  4. Synthesize the material and summarize the patterns of similarities and differences regarding how each of the authors has presented each theme.
  5. Based on your analysis from the seven selected articles, conclude by explaining the importance of applying the four-frame model and its impact on successful management and leadership.

Remember, a literature review is not simply a summary of the articles; it is a synthesis of the many ideas and concepts presented in the various articles.

You can use the following resources to complete your literature review:

Write a 5–7-page paper in Word format. Utilize at least seven scholarly sources in your research. Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention:

Discuss the new product development process.

The New Product Development Process

In preparation for a presentation to the CEO of the organization next week on a product development strategy, prepare the following paper:

Choose a product (not a service) which means it must be tangible. Prepare a paper addressing the following tasks on your selected product.

Checklist:

  1. Describe your new product. You have many choices. It could be a classically innovative product, new-category entry, an addition to the product line or line extension. It could even include more minor product changes like product improvements, repositioning, or cost reductions.
  2. Discuss the new product development process.

How did federal legislation support the establishment of unions and union rights?Discuss.

How did federal legislation support the establishment of unions and union rights? If such legislation had not been passed, do you think that labor organizations would have developed? Would they have succeeded in establishing themselves?

Present your views in approximately 250 words in your initial discussion post.  Respond to at least two of your peers’ posts.  Utilize the course text, weekly lecture, and at least one other scholarly source. Remember to properly cite your sources.

Discussion 2:

NLRA Rules

How have the NLRA rules about contact with employees failed to keep up with technology?

Present your views in approximately 250 words in your initial discussion post.  Respond to at least two of your peers’ posts.  Utilize the course text, weekly lecture, and at least o

Employers have a long history of using their power to abuse employees. Discuss.

Employers have a long history of using their power to abuse employees. Past employer practices have led to bloody conflicts. Over time, the development of Federal regulations has helped ease the tense employee/employer relationship.

Create a timeline of all the significant labor legislation passed in the 20th century using Word’s Tablehttps://support.office.com/en-us/article/Insert-or-create-a-table-de20e78c-ede3-4043-a9fb-27f0b73fb447) feature. Next to the name of each law, place a column with the year it was passed, and then another column, in your own words, provide a description of what the law covered. If the law was amended by another law, make an additional column and explain why and how it amended the previous law.

Remember to comply with APA, 6th edition guidelines as delineated in the Ashford University Writing Center and in the Originality Matters section of the course.  You must use at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course text.

In the long run if the market price is at $236, what is the firm’s level of output? Explain why.

A firm in a Perfectly Competitive Market has the following short run cost function (/ equation / formula):

TC=200Q-6Q^2+Q3+400

a) Using the cost definitions you have learnt:

i. Determine which part of the equation above represents the total fixed cost, TFC.

ii. Determine which part of the equation above represents the total variable cost, TVC.

iii. Using the definition of AFC, determine the equation of average fixed cost.

iv. Using the definition of AVC, determine the equation of average variable cost.

b) Using the marginal cost function (/ equation / formula): MC=200-12Q+3Q^2, and the other

cost equations you obtained in part (a), fill in the table below

(NOTES: if a value is not a whole number, report it with two decimal points. You are allowed to

use a calculator to help with the calculations. If this question re-appears in your repeat

submissions in tutorials – you will be given a table with just 3 relevant rows).

c) Based on your data calculated in part (b), plot AVC, ATC and MC curves on one pair of axes – half

an A4 page. Identify any key points on your graph. (NOTE: You may use a computer to help know

the shape of each curve, but you have to hand-draw these curves in your assignment).

d) Assume that the current market price is $296. Determine the quantity produced by the firm and its

economic profit/loss. Reproduce the graph in part (c) and show the economic profit/loss on this

graph.

e) Now suppose that the market price falls to $200. How many units of the product should the firm

produce? Does it make an economic profit or loss? If it is a loss, would it shut down temporarily?

Explain.

f) Now assume that in the long run, the firm’s cost functions / equations / formulas are:

TC=200Q-6Q^2+Q3 and MC=200-12Q+3Q^2. Compare and contrast these equations to the

short run TC and MC equations in part (a) and part (b) and explain why they are similar or different.

g) Based on the long run equations in part (f) and based on the graph in part (c), what is the firm’s

minimum efficient scale and what is the range of output at which the firm is operating in economies

of scale.

h) In the long run if the market price is at $236, what is the firm’s level of output? Explain why.

Describe the three types of biodiversity in an ecosystem. Why is biodiversity valued in an ecosystem?

Do you think that the costs of the REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) program ($20-30 billion per year) will yield sufficient results to make the program worth its expense? As the largest contributors to global CO2 emissions, do you think that developed countries have a responsibility to pay for such programs in developing countries? Why, or why not?

Your response must be at least 200 words in length. You are required to use at least your textbook as source material for your response. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.
