21st Century Leadership

The 20th and 21st centuries have produced many business leaders, such as corporate giants like Jack Welch of GE, Daymond John of FUBU, Steve Jobs of Apple, and Herb Kelleher of Southwest. In addition, many hip-hop moguls have risen to prominence, such as Sean Combs, aka P Diddy, of Bad Boy Records; Russell Simmons, founder of Def Jam; and Sean Carter, aka Jay Z, of Rock Nation.

Regardless of their business models and industries, organizational leaders are expected to create realistic visions for their companies and the people that they guide. However, such visions often result in vastly different leadership styles. Therefore, experts have concluded that there is no one best leadership style geared towards guiding employees and companies to accomplishing organizational goals.

Using the Internet and Strayer databases, research your favorite senior executive (CEO, CFO, COO, Director, President, Founder, etc.) from any organization that has made a strong impact on his or her industry (fashion, music, food, banking, technology, automotive, etc.).

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you:
1.Describe the overall leadership style(s) of your chosen senior executive.
2.Analyze the organizational structure and culture of the company your chosen executive has led, or is currently leading, and determine the company’s approach to human capital management and employee development. Next, explain whether or not you believe your chosen senior executive’s leadership approach has enhanced workplace productivity and the shared vision of the organization. Provide one to two (1-2) examples of your chosen senior executive’s actions to support your response.
3.Evaluate the effectiveness of your selected leader’s performance, based on his or her ethical conduct and effective communication. Next, determine whether the chosen leader was successful in motivating and empowering his or her employees and gaining customer loyalty.
4.Determine three (3) best practices that other organizational leaders can use in order to motivate employees and transform their company, based on practices that you believe made your chosen leader successful at his or her company and within his or her industry. Support your rationale with an explanation of the potential benefits that other business leaders may reap from your chosen best practices.
5.Use at least five (5) quality references. Note: Wikipedia and similar Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
•Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
•Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

RN teaching process

Discusses learning outcomes and provides example of one properly written goal; goal must be written using proper format for full credit 5 0 Does not understand this at all according to what was written in the paper.
Does not provide a properly written goal for teaching. Examples of goals:
At the end of the teaching session, the patient will…
~accurately draw up prescribed dose of insulin.
~accurately state 3 side effects of diuretic medication that should be reported to the healthcare provider.
~identify from a list of foods, foods that are high in potassium.
~select from a sample menu, foods that are appropriate for a bland diet.
Identifies and discusses teaching strategies/methods; preparation of environment and client, as well as the use of resource materials 5 1 See paper; almost all of this is missing.
Teaching strategies include hands-on, demonstration, group classes, audio tapes, videos, computer software/games, etc. Teaching strategies are selected based on your assessment of preferred learning. Information is repeated throughout paper and is scattered and this makes it difficult to find required elements.
Other information missing here as well.
Discusses how to select an appropriate online resource for clients; provides one appropriate online resource for clients 5 0 Missing; see information below at end of rubric.

Discusses evaluation of learning and its relationship to properly written goal/outcome 5 2 Student does not understand this; serious errors present.
Provides a summary of the teaching process 5 4 Paper lacks proper organization and paragraphs and it is impossible to tell where a summary may begin. I gave benefit of the doubt here.
Includes two references; one from a peer-reviewed nursing journal. Uses APA format for citations and reference page. 5 2.5 Both references are books written for nursing instructors and neither addresses client-teaching in the clinical environment. Neither is an article from a peer-reviewed nursing journal as required on the rubric.
Did you purchase or borrow both of these books and read them? If not, what chapters did you use?

Paper is written in Standard English; three pages double-spaced (not including cover or reference pages); contains minimal errors in spelling or grammar 5 4 .
Many errors present.
Total 50 16.5 Paper was one of the most difficult papers I have graded for the teaching process. I strongly urge student to seek assistance with sentence and paragraph structure, paper writing, word selection and meaning, and APA. I strongly urge student to utilize the assignment rubric for future papers.

Mentoring in Practice Portfolio&Teaching Session Evaluation.

This practice portfolio has been designed to enable demonstration of successful completion of all NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) Standards and outcomes for Mentors (NMC 2008). These are specifically the eight standards of the developmental framework at Stage 2. These standards are as follows:
• Establishing effective working relationships
• Facilitation of learning
• Assessment and accountability
• Evaluation of learning
• Creating an environment for learning
• Context of practice
• Evidence-based practice
• Leadership

Each standard has specific outcomes which need to be met. These are identified for you on the following pages. You will be expected to provide at least one piece of evidence to support achievement of each standard. It is expected that this evidence will be collected throughout the duration of your module.

The mistake on this coursework is that I have not clearly demonstrated achievement of the NMC competences. Each one should have a section in which I can show how I have implemented the standards. Furthermore, according to the feedback I received, I have given a thorough account of my teaching session but could have been more reflective.
You can see the references I used at the end of the coursework.

MDA report

As of the end of Stage Six, it is the end of 2019 and the company has been in operation for five years. It is time to write your own MD&A, reporting on the company performance to investors. Your management team must prepare a report in the style of an MD&A discussing the company operational results and describing how the company expects to move forward. Prepare a report that is between 2,500 and 3,500 words in length for your investors. Discuss the business’s results, what you learned, how you adjusted operations, and how the business should operate in the future. You should use what you learned in stage five as a guide, but not as a template.
You will need to compare the results of the various years of financial statements using the statement analysis tools studied in class.

From the list of ratios below, select what you deem to be the three most important analytical ratios for understanding the company’s operations and discuss the company’s results.

Select one item from each of the income statement and the balance sheet and perform a horizontal analysis of those two line items. Discuss the findings of these analyses.
o You may NOT select: Gross Sales, Total Expenses, Net Income, Retained Earnings, Total Assets, or Total Liabilities + Stockholders’ Equity.

In addition to reporting on the company’s results, discuss why you selected your particular ratios and line items in order to give context to the discussion.
Ratios and financial statements:
Compute the following ratios for all five years, and present them in table format as appendix A to the paper: Gross Profit Percentage, Return on Sales, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Working Capital, Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Inventory Turnover, Asset Turnover, Accounts Receivable Turnover, Debt-to-Equity, Times-interest-earned, Earnings per Share, and the Dividend Payout Ratio. Please note that, in certain circumstances, some of these ratios will be inapplicable. If this is the case, simply note that they are “N/A” in your chart.
You must also include, as appendix B, a comparative income statement and a comparative balance sheet that cover each of the periods of operations ending December, 2015 through December, 2019. Please see your textbook, page A-22 for an example of a three year comparative income statement. Yours will be a five year comparison, but should be similar to that in the text.
Finally, present a table with the horizontal analyses you have performed. You do not need to compute a horizontal analysis covering each piece of every financial statement, only those lines items that you selected as most important in reviewing the business results. The tables and comparative financial statements do not count towards the paper length requirement

3D printing

Write an instruction set describing how to insert an image into a Word document for a novice. Your instructions should start with the user having the document open in Word and knowing the location of the image on the computer. You can use the document and image attached here for the screen captures to illustrate your instruction set.

You should include information on:

how to insert the image using Word menu or ribbon commands,
how to place the image appropriately (text wrapping), and
how to provide a caption.
Remember to include any notes or warnings that the user should know to successfully complete the task.

world religion

write a paragraph for each of the seven religions ( christianity, hinduism buddhism, islam, taoism, Confucianism, indigenous)

Students,

Your third and final paper will be due at the start of the last class. What ever class that is for you, bring your paper to the final class. (Not the final exam period, but the final lecture class).

Here are the requirements for your final paper:

Cover sheet is required. Just as in paper #2.
Footnotes and Bibliography are not required. However, if you want more practice, you may include them.
Paper is to be a minimum of 7 paragraphs. It may be more depending on what you want to demonstrate you know about each of the 7 world religions.
Read the following information slowly and carefully. Re-read it to make sure you understand the assignment. Talk to your study buddy to make sure you understand what is required.

Title: The Seven World Religions

The focus of the paper is to answer the following question for each of the seven world religions that we have studied this semester in Humanities 10.

\”What are three things I understand about the religion of (Buddhism, Confucianism, Christianity, etc, etc,)

Each religion must be at least one paragraph. Therefore this paper is a minimum of 7 paragraphs. You may write more than one paragraph for any given religion.

What you write must be academic. It must reflect what you have LEARNED in the class about the religion. And remember, it is not a theology class, so confine your self to the topic of how the religion functions, or the tenets, or the belief systems.

Your only sources for this paper are:

your notes,
your Smith textbook,
your Novak textbook
your Bowker textbook.
****All information for this paper must be from the class only.

In addition to the three learnings about each religion, you are to include something about the sacred text for each religion. Your only source for the sacred texts information in this paper is your Novak textbook.

For this paper, Chicago style footnotes are not required, however, you may choose to use them. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate academic material you have learned about each of the seven religions in this course. The only resources or texts you are to use for this paper are: the Smith textbook, the Novak textbook, or the Bowker textbook ONLY.

No outside sources for this paper. And this is why footnotes are optional. I know the sources you will be using. However, if you want to practice Chicago style, you may do so.

So how are you going to use your Novak book for the sacred text information? When including what you have learned about the sacred text, simply include it in your writing. I will provide some examples below.

Example #1: \”In the religion of Christianity, Jesus used parables as he attempted to explain concepts to his disciples and followers. A parable is a teaching tool that Jesus used to relate a known concept to a larger concept in the spiritual realm or a concept about YHWH. He often explained the Kingdom of Heaven with a parable. And example of a parable is found in Novak on pg. 245, c. \”The Parable of the Treasure\” in which Jesus related the kingdom of Heave to buried treasure.\”

Example #2: Or you might write, \”Taoism relies upon one main sacred text, the Tao Te Ching. Tao Te Ching means Book of the Way, as found on pg. 144 in Novak. And on pg. 147, it is referred to as the Great Mother.\”

Example #3: Or you can reference Novak yet another way, \”The Upanishads are one of the Hindu sacred texts which explain yoga and humankind\’s connection to immortality otherwise named, \’Brahman\’. In the section of the Upanishads in Novak, on pg. 15 Brahman is characterized as the truth, the infinite, the supreme abode and the highest of all beings.\”

Good luck on your final paper!

Provide three distinct examples of the business outcomes (such as company revenue, market capitalization, and advertising expenditure) that you would expect to be normally distributed; justify your selection.

You are a manager working for an insurance company. Your job entails processing individual claims filed by policyholders. In general, few claims are expensive. Each quarter, you compile a report summarizing key claim statistics, such as the number of claims submitted, the average cost per claim, and the total cost of submitted claims. In the last quarter\’s report, you notice a large difference between the mean and the median claim cost, the mean cost being much higher than the median cost. What do you attribute this difference to? Do you think the claims data is normally distributed? If so, why? If not, what distribution might best describe the data and why? Given the large difference between the two measures of central tendency, which of the two would you rely on in describing the average claim cost and why?
Please provide one reference for this question
Provide three distinct examples of the business outcomes (such as company revenue, market capitalization, and advertising expenditure) that you would expect to be normally distributed; justify your selection. Can you envision circumstances under which these outcomes would not be normally distributed?
Provide three distinct examples of the business outcomes that are not normally distributed.

Discuss the differences between Type I and Type II errors in the context of business decision making.

You are a business analyst employed by a large database management and consulting organization. Your job entails analysis of the available data that tends to vary considerably across clients in terms of volume and quality, with the goal of previously unknown insights or validating currently-held beliefs. One of your concerns is the validity and reliability of your conclusions; hence you are always careful about Type I and Type II errors.

Discuss the differences between Type I and Type II errors in the context of business decision making. Explain how each of the two types of errors can impact both, the validity as well as the reliability of conclusions? As a business analyst, what would you do to minimize the chances of either Type I or Type II errors adversely impacting your conclusions?
