I believe that the knowledge of excel would be beneficial in all types of business and industries. Examples of these include, but are not limited to business ownership, the accounting industry, the restaurant industry, and even nonprofit organizations. Knowledge in Excel would be beneficial in my future career as I would like to open my own bakery one day. I could use Excel in my personal life when balancing my checkbook or creating a personal household budget as well as creating an amortization schedule for my mortgage. In my future bakery, I could use several different types of spreadsheets. These could include inventory tracking spreadsheets, recipe costing spreadsheets, and financial statement spreadsheets. I could also do employee tracking spreadsheets.

Must career paths if not all may be able to use Excel worksheets for organization or accounting purposes. In my current career path, Logistics Area Supervisor, Excel worksheets are very useful for my every day reports, to keep tap on all equipment shipped and used in the region as well as the size, type, port, time and day needed. I also create pivot tables to show our main office the status of the region and the equipment being kept and shipped. In my personal life i can use excel to keep my expenses, day and amount due under control. The spread sheets used at work and home can be expense templates or pivot tables.
